Equal Opportunity Centre

A separate Equal Opportunity Centre (EOC) was constituted in the year 2008 as per the Guidelines of NAAC, which takes care of the women, SC, ST, OBC, differently-abled and Minorities’ students of Annada College, Hazaribag, Jharkhand hereinafter referred to as the college.

The college has constituted EOC as a post accreditation opportunity sustenance and quality assurance measure. The EOC reviews and promotes in all spheres of academic and non- academic activities for women, SC, ST, OBC, differently-abled and Minorities’ students.

The Mission

As part of its mission the EOC ensures the following:

  • Affirmative actions concerning SC, ST and OBC.
  • A barrier free access to all buildings of Colleges, Departments, Library, and Offices of the college
  • To Smooth and efficient running of a Resource Centre that specialises in promoting the needs of differently-abled students.
  • No discrimination on grounds of disability or minority status
  • Short term courses for imparting employable skills for the disabled and for raising awareness about disability
  • To implement schemes related to women, SC, ST, OBC, differently-abled and Minorities’ students.
  • To facilitate financial assistance to these students from Government, NGOs, institute etc.
  • To make arrangements for scholarship and free ships.
  • To run extra classes and remedial courses for educationally poor SC/ST and Minorities’ students.
  • To help them in socio-economical and educational problems.
  • To promote the participation of social groups with relatively higher proportion of SC, ST, OBC, minorities and differently-abled students
