The Department of English, Annada College, Hazaribag offers Three Year Degree Course known as B.A. English Honours.The syllabus reflects the developments and trends in the field of literary and
cultural studies which have taken place in the last few decades, completely changing the way in which we approach literature. The syllabus includes authors in English Literature as well as Contemporary Writings
in English and translations of the Indian classics. The syllabus is taught by committed teachers and scholars who specialize in different areas of the discipline. The Department has its library which is reasonably
rich to cater to the needs of the students
The English Literary Society is active in organizing lectures, seminars, literary festivals, essay competitions, speech competitions, elocution etc. The teachers supplement conventional teaching
methods with learners’ centred interactive activities. The study of English enables and equips students to branch out in areas as diverse as Media Studies, Mass Communication, Journalism , Literary Studies and Conventional Courses.
